Mother of 13-Year-Old Girl Seeking DNA Test From Davido Breaks Silence

The mother of 13-year-old Anu, who has been linked to an ongoing paternity dispute involving Nigerian music star Davido, has publicly shared her side of the story.

In a detailed post on X, Ayo Labinjoh identified herself and explained that she met Davido 13 years ago while working as a waitress. She claimed that a brief relationship followed and later resulted in the birth of her daughter, Anu.

Labinjoh stated that her primary concern has always been her child’s mental and emotional wellbeing. She said her daughter had endured years of bullying, which reportedly affected her deeply and required professional support. According to her, she had tried to keep the matter private for the sake of her child until recent events brought the issue back into public view.

Addressing past DNA tests referenced by Davido, Labinjoh alleged that the results were not genuine. She claimed that earlier samples were mishandled and that the process was compromised. She further stated that she is seeking a fresh, independent DNA test that would be supervised by neutral authorities.

According to her post, she intends to request the involvement of the United States State Department to coordinate with the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria in order to ensure transparency and fairness in any future testing.

Labinjoh emphasized that her daughter is not seeking attention or controversy but clarity about her identity. She maintained that the dispute is not about conflict, but about establishing the truth in a way that protects her child.

The renewed statements have reignited public debate online, with social media users expressing mixed reactions. While some have called for calm and due process, others have urged that any further steps be handled privately and with sensitivity, given that a minor is involved.

As of now, neither Davido nor his representatives have issued a fresh public response to the latest claims.
